BUILT-INS
FULL SERVICE CABINET SHOP: WE DESIGN, BUILD, & INSTALL
Our clients always ask, what makes our quality different from contractor grade built-ins or other cabinet shops? Simply, we never use low quality soft woods such as pine, cheap plywoods & veneer, particle board, or Poplar (barely a hardwood). We only use premium hardwoods such as painted Maple, stained White Oak, and clear coated Black Walnut or Mahogany. These hardwoods will stand the test of time, and limit any type of warping, cracking, scratches, or dents from constant cabinetry use.
In addition to the high quality material, we only build with premium joinery, hardware, and finishes for all of our 62 Screws custom cabinetry:

DESIGN
DETAILED 3D PROJECT RENDERINGS
Our built-in design process at 62 Screws is extremely unique, because not only do we carefully curate designs around your specific functional needs and space dimensions, but also provide beautiful 3D renderings for your piece.
This allows you to review your actual built-in for scale, and approve the detailed design and finishes before we start building. The renderings also limit any sort of miscommunication when it comes to the overall layout and dimensions, making sure we build your piece with accuracy and precision. We want the end result to meet your expectations (if not go above and beyond), by providing a design process that is both simple and efficient.
Essentially, taking out any guesswork when it comes to your project from start to finish.

BUILD PROCESS
OLD WORLD CRAFTSMANSHIP MEETS MODERN DESIGN
At our 62 Screws cabinet shop, we combine old world craftsmanship with elevated, timeless designs. Our expertise is in building premium hardwood cabinetry, with a focus high end joinery, top finishes, and superior construction techniques. That is why our built-ins are constantly referred to as furniture grade, since:
-
We build with dovetail drawers (our standard), mortise and tenon, stile & rail, tongue & groove, blind dados, and mitered/waterfall joinery.
-
We use solid hardwood raised panels for all of our cabinet doors and wall paneling.
-
We use an industrial CNC machine for guaranteed precision and accuracy, so that all of our cabinets are perfectly cut in size, thickness, and spacing.
-
We spray all of our pieces in a professional paint booth for a smooth and buttery finish, we never use brushes or hand rollers which leave texture.
-
We use custom integrated LED lighting and furniture outlets.
-
We use low VOC stains such as Rubio Monocoat.
-
We use premium Blum soft close door hinges and drawer slides.
-
We use Top Knobs and Rejuvenation hardware.

INSTALL PROCESS
SIMPLE, EFFICIENT, AND MESS FREE
Unlike most shops that build and paint their cabinets on site, our built-ins are constructed, assembled, and sprayed at our shop to limit any sort of mess or debris at a client's home during install. This also allows us to have better quality control on our pieces, since we are able to test fit doors, drawers, hardware, and perfect the paint finish. In addition to quality control, this also limits our install time, making the process more streamlined and efficient.
The main components of our install are:
-
Meticulously scribing cabinetry and face frames to the floors & walls
-
Crown molding, base molding, and custom wall paneling
-
Integrating custom lighting in the interior cabinets, over cabinets, and toe kick lighting
-
Attaching all hardware pulls, knobs, and decorative elements
-
Adjusting shelf space preference, caulking, and touch up paint
Our goal is to leave your space cleaner than when we started.
